My Name is Sheila Ryan. I am the current treasurer of the Irish Dermatology Nurse’s Association.
I work in the University Hospital Limerick as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner in Dermatology. I have over 30 years’ experience in dermatology practice in both the UK and Ireland. In 2017 I was awarded the British Dermatology Nursing Group’s Stone Award for my contribution to Dermatology Nursing. I have published articles on Psoriasis, Acne, Emollients, Cryotherapy, Psychodermatology, Nodular Prurigo and Toxic Epidermal Necrolysis. I have started my PhD, and my area of research interest is the care of patients with Stevens Johnson Syndrome / Toxic Epidermal Necrolysis.
