Hi, my name is Annette Durkan. I hold the following qualifications: MSc ANP, RGN, and RCN. I am an Advanced Nurse Practitioner in Paediatric Dermatology at Children’s Health Ireland (CHI).
I specialise in the assessment and management of infants, children, and adolescents with complex skin conditions, with particular expertise in atopic dermatitis, acne, psoriasis, and advanced therapies in paediatric dermatology.
I am committed to delivering family-centred, evidence-based care and improving outcomes for children and young people living with skin disease.
I completed my MSc in Advanced Nursing Practice at Trinity College Dublin, where my research focused on improving the knowledge and confidence of non-dermatology healthcare professionals in the management of paediatric atopic dermatitis.
I am passionate about paediatric dermatology education, nurse-led service development, clinical research, and mentoring. I am dedicated to advancing excellence in paediatric dermatology nursing through collaboration, education, and innovation.
