Hi my name is Deirdre Kennedy. I have been working in the specialty of dermatology for over 25 years and have recently been appointed as ANP in Medical Dermatology.
Throughout my career I have worked in many areas of dermatology including delivery of phototherapy, attendance at out-patient clinics, delivery of nurse treatments, assisting at the minor surgery clinics and liaising with ward staff for in-patient care.
With the advances treatments for psoriasis patients and improved access for these patients to new medications I had the opportunity to establish the first nurse led clinics for patients on biologic treatment.
My professional interests include service innovation, clinical leadership and development of advanced practice roles to enhance patient outcomes.
