History

In October 2001 a group of senior dermatology nurses from the Irish Republic and Northern Ireland met at the City of Dublin Skin and Cancer Hospital, Hume St to discuss the feasibility of establishing a dermatology nursing organisation.  The Irish Association of Dermatologists had offered to share meeting venues should a group be formed. In April 2002 the IDNA held its first meeting at the  Faithlegg Hotel in Waterford. In 2008 the IDNA was established as a limited company.
